Dome-inatrix
This is an “unofficial” member of our series, a large 3-foot-by-3-foot steamroller print we created at the 2014 Wayzgoose Festival in Tacoma, WA. The piece is individually hand-painted with watercolor.
This piece doesn’t feature a quote by a feminist, but in our book, the issue at hand is certainly a feminist one. While we were hand-carving the giant linoleum block for Park Place, and just days before we printed it at the public festival, our fellow Tacoma voters passed a major city parks funding bond, allowing for much-needed improvements, renovations and upkeep of our green spaces. We designed this piece in hopes of passing the bond measure, and viewed the printing as a public thank-you to our fair city.
