Love & Paperwork
What the world really needs is more love and less paperwork.
— Pearl Bailey
This is an “unofficial” member of our series, a small letterpress keepsake done in the style and spirit of the series. We created this piece in an edition of somewhere around 100 copies (we didn’t count), in hopes that love and paperwork need not be mutually exclusive.
Pearl Bailey (1918 – 1990), an American actor and singer, won a Tony Award for her portrayal of the lead role in an all-Black production of “Hello Dolly.” She was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States.
